There is a widely held and growing belief amongst packaging professionals that people buy packaging as much as they buy products. Obviously nobody sets out to buy packaging and throw away the product. However all too often the final product purchase is heavily influenced, whether the buyer realizes it or not, by the packaging the product is presented in.
It’s really important for a product to stand out at the point of sale and what better way to do this than in a well designed pack made from high clarity PET that will really show the product off to best effect? It’s almost a case of what you can’t see that sells the product.
Macpac’s Tricel concept was designed specifically with this in mind to attract attention at the point of sale/purchase. Tricel’s are a variation on the clamshell theme but are designed and made in 3 sections that enable the final pack to either free stand or be hung from an integral euroslot. Tricels give a product excellent exposure and add greater depth giving a more 3 dimensional feel to a pack. They allow the product to be mounted on the front of the pack to give it more presence yet will easily accommodate graphic insert cards. The ability to free stand enables greater flexibility of pack positioning so they can be given prominence on counter tops or even better near to the retailers checkout. They can still be hung though on display racks if preferred.
A big advantage to the Tricel is that there are a number of tools in existence at Macpac that can be customized with an add-on shape to precisely fit a product. This greatly reduces tooling costs that are already highly competitive due to our extensive in-house tool rooms. This makes it a win–win situation with low tooling cost and great looks.
Tricels are versatile for a wide range of product types in all sorts of retail environments. They complement fully bespoke packs and the standard ranges that Macpac manufacture ,which include Blisterking and Eurocel packs.
