Improved Appearance

A trapped blister pack consists of 2 die cut cards that are heat sealed together, encapsulating the flanges of the blister without contamination. This can be important for satisfying environmental requirements.

This style of blister also provides an improved appearance over traditional heat seal packaging becuase the flanges of the blister are hidden. It also allows a blister to protrude from both sides of the pack, so that the weight of a product is evenly distributed, allowing it to hang straighter instore.

Seed Packs

When a major national plant seed distributor approached us to improve on the traditional seed packet the trapped blister offered a variety of advantages. The seeds are protected in an injection-moulded pod for security and protection and can be viewed from either the front or back of the pack.

The trapped blister card offered a large area for very high quality graphics and incorporated a perforated rear tab for easy opening. The cards had to be printed with different use by dates dependent upon seed type. The success of the pack led to a further order for a 3 fold gift card pack based on the same design principle.
